Off-duty attire

It’s all very well dressing up for special occasions like weddings, the annual office party and cocktails with the girls. However, there comes a time when we require a variety of off-duty looks. After all, you wouldn’t dream of running your weekend errands in a ball gown would you?

One of the most popular off-duty looks today is a pair of skinny jeans with a retro tee and a pair of trainers. The latest converse styles showcase a number of casual yet on-trend footwear options. Such styles can be easily teamed with jeans and denim shorts, yet also look good with skirts, dresses and wet-look leggings.

Casual trainers

Wearing a pair of trainers with an outfit normally associated with heels can add a retro edge to the entire ensemble. Taking a cutesy lace dress and adding a pair of Converse will instantly add a hit of carefree grunge to your look. Flat shoes or pumps will also allow you to run those errands in a quick and efficient manner.

Trainer styles today are constantly changing and are now available in a wide range of colours and styles. Some boast vivid neon laces whilst others come in the form of on-trend high-tops. Generally, the brighter the shoe, the more attention you will attract.

It is however wise to keep a pair of simple, white trainers in your wardrobe as this classic footwear staple will work with just about any outfit.

Bold and beautiful

As well as hot-hued trainers for girls, there are a number of colourful styles available for men. Colour has certainly played a major part in menswear over the past year, and the modern man’s wardrobe has certainly benefitted from this. Brave trainers not only allow you to make a bold statement, they also help to inject a distinctive edge to your existing look thus making you stand out from the crowd.

Laces

If you’re not quite ready for neon trainers, vibrant socks or pastel shirts, opt for bold laces instead. Laces will add a subtle yet on-trend hit of colour to an otherwise traditional outfit.

case and point - i assumed for years that all the jewelry michele lamy wore was her own personal work and would forever be unattainable. at least for me.
then after spending well over an hour on tumblr  ( i get lost in that shit like the black hole ) i came across one photo, which led to a link, which led me to ninaki jewelry. la based jewelry designer ninaki priddy will now, forever & always have full blown bragging rights to say - " yes the baddest bitch in the universe wears my shit "
